A WebQuest is an educational strategy defined by Bernie Dodge in 1995. Typically it has 5 parts:

Introducction, Task, Process (including resources and scaffolding), Evaluation and Conclusion.

There are some requirements that a WebQuest should fullfil to be a real WebQuest:

- A WebQuest should promote high order thinking
- It is carried out in groups and each pupil has a different role
- The task can not be simply giving answer to some questions. It should involve doing some researh and transforming the information into something else.

WebQuests are essentially interdisciplinary and constitute a good model to design cross- curricular units (Example)

A WebTask can be defined as a task based activity using web resources; the aim of the task will be mainly communicative and and will be focused on content rather than on formal aspects. (I, Pérez).
Webtasks are easier to prepare and to carry out. Some examples can be found here where some are Treasure Hunt and some are Wetasks. And some more here.
